3 Key Features in the Gboard Keyboard App That Make It My Top Choice Over All Others
Gboard is Google's free keyboard pre-installed on many Android phones. Unlike many other Google apps that take up space without much use, this keyboard is incredibly useful. That's why we're highlighting 3 features of Gboard that you can use daily, making it a must-have tool on your device.
- Real-Time Translation from the Keyboard Itself
Imagine speaking to someone who doesn't share your language, requiring you to translate your messages. With Gboard, you can eliminate the need to translate manually because the keyboard can do it automatically.
To translate your messages in real-time to another language using Gboard, follow these steps:
- Tap on the options icon (four square boxes) located in the top left corner of the Gboard keyboard.
- Select the option that says "Translate."
- Enter the language you write in and the language you want to translate the text into.
A common problem with traditional clipboards is that they only save the most recent copied message, allowing you to copy and paste one text at a time. However, the Gboard clipboard lets you copy and save multiple texts and screenshots simultaneously. Additionally, you can edit these texts before pasting them, pin them so they don’t disappear, or simply delete them.
To activate and use the Gboard clipboard, follow these steps:
- Tap on the options icon (four square boxes) located in the top left corner of the Gboard keyboard.
- Tap on the clipboard icon, which looks like a document-saving table.
- Press the switch that appears in the top bar to enable the clipboard.
- You can now see the most recent messages you’ve copied and the screenshots you’ve taken.
- To edit, pin, or delete any of these messages, press and hold the item and select the desired option.
